1. I am good at being Extremely bull-headed... just ask my mom!!

10 things that happen in my minivan

(this should be easy, as in my previous post... I don't do minivans!!)

Anyway... here we go...

1. First of all - NOTHING happens in my MINIVAN... 'Cuz I don't have one...

2. In my car... the gas light comes on... usually when gas it as the highest price. When the light is off, the gas price is low...

3. I inevitably drop my phone between the seat at console.

4. My purse tips over, off the front seat, all over the floor.

5. The fabric grocery bags never get past the floor of the back seat.

6. My son does not know how to NOT slam the door.

7. I change CD's at least once or twice in my 15 minute drive to work (I miss my 6-disc changer).

8. My mom yells at me at least once to "watch the road".

9. I have at least one bottle of Diet Coke in the console.

10. I scarf down a quick meal at least once a week.

1. My smart phone. Okay, I never thought I would say that... but I am addicted... all my contacts are in there... and my schedule...

2. My mom - she takes care of my son when I am working and he is off school.

3. Tastefully Simple - delivered to my door, easy to fix, and totally yummy.

4. My cats... they make me slow down and relax.

5. My son... he makes me realize that there is something more to life than work.

6. My best friend in Arizona... she always knows when I need to be picked up and shaken.

7. Wine - somedays, it helps me relax... and connect with friends while we laugh and enjoy.

8. My bud here in town... she will kick me in the ass and make me face reality...

9. My counselor at school... he checks in on me and keeps me on track.

10. My blogs - they help keep me sane by letting me write without being judged.

Brandi said that to Laverne in a comment last week. See even more then the listicles itself I love reading the comments you leave for each other. I love that you visit everyone else’s blogs and that you are so very funny. I love Monday Listicles.

As you can tell, I am overusing the word love. Must be because this week we are talking about LOVE. To compliment the theme Jackie chose last week, PASSION. Thank you again Jackie, it was such joy to read about passions we share.

Guess the natural progression would be marriage and babies, but it is not up to me. It is Wendy’s turn to choose. She is expecting a lovely baby, so who knows…

(okay, so this is in the past, as we were married for 5 years, but I do remember what I noticed about him... but also what changed. We have been divorced many years, but hey, I'll play along this week...

Okay, so after THAT learning experience... let me tell you 10 things I look for in guys nowadays, that make a difference...

1. Their smile - it says a lot
2. Their eyes - they can tell you so much
3. The way they treat me
4. Their sensitive side
5. If they are self-supported
6. If they have a steady (REAL) job
7. They do not have a criminal record or warrants for their arrest.
8. They do not have kids they don't support
9. They are caring and are not afraid to be honest
10. They accept myself and my son as a package deal.

So... there you have it...

Monday Listicles 02.06.12

10 passions...

1. My son - he is the light of my life and keeps me going some most days.

2. My friends - Princess Coco is a nut case, but I love her. She makes me laugh, even when things are just totally stupid. BB is the other one. She has put up with my for more years than we either care to admit. She makes me think and keeps me honest.

3. Taking a nap - I am always on the go. Please, just a little nap?

4. Shoes - a woman needs her shoes... yes, even 12 pairs of the same shoes, but they are different colors!

5. Wine - I am a learning wine novice. It is exciting and pleasantly addicting...

6. Blogging - it seems like my mind never stops, so being able to blog helps me de-stress.

7. Sushi - can food be a passion? Every so often, I get the craving for the asiana rolls or other rolls. I'm not sure if it's the spicy mustard, the seafood, or the sauce that I dip it in... hmmmmm

8. My pets - I miss my puppy dogs. They were the loves of my life. But now I have sassy cats (are there any other kind?). One of the youngest is my "lover". He lays across me at night and snuggles and purrs. He helps me stop and relax.

9. Writing - I have always been one who enjoys writing, but there are times when I just don't take the time, or make the time, to do it.

10. Thunder storms, lightening and rain - the sounds of a summer rain and gentle storm relaxes me and makes me feel comfy. I enjoy listening to the sounds and seeing the lightning fill the sky. I love it.
