Holidays

I am hoping everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

We spent time with family and enjoyed conversation and laughter.

It is special to be able to spend quality time with those you love.

At the same time, my friend's brother lost his battle with health problems and another friend's mom passed away also.

This holiday has been full of ups and downs. Its these types of situations that make you appreciate what you have and to not take things for granted.

Thanksgiving

Be thankful for each day.
My mom has had a bury her son.
I have had to bury my dad.
My niece has had to bury her mom.
All of these make you see how short life is and how we need to enjoy each day as we have them.
Please be thankful this holiday season.

Me... Kreative Blogger Award? Wow. Who Knew

Roe At My Upside Down Life presented me with the Kreativ Blogger Award.

I think she said it well when she said "It took me way too long to get around to doing this, but it's only because I suck at receiving compliments and also because I am somewhat challenged by all the rules that go along with this award". Oh yes, so true... I totally understand, to which I also owe an apology of delay...

I would like to thank Roe for putting me on her "deserving" list. This blog, in my eyes, is still in the "baby stage" - it's not really old, but it does have many followers, for that I am grateful. I put this together as a way of sharing my world and my "mommy experiences" with those who are also in the same boat (and in my case - NOT a minivan! hehe!) 

Now, on to the rules and requirements...

#3. What do you do when you are upset? I shut down and don't talk to anyone, but not before I let out a growl.

#4. Which is your favorite pet? I love my kitty cats... but dogs are awesome too (but they have to be BIG dogs... not little yippers!)

#5. Which do you prefer, White or Whole Wheat? Whole wheat mostly, but white for smooshed down cheese sandwiches.

#6. What is your your biggest fear? Failure... and speaking in public...

#7. What is your attitude mostly? I try to be positive and pleasant... but there are days.

I want to tell everyone Thank You for your support as this week started out in the matter of spin from Hell!

I appreciate the fact that you were here for me and listened to my rant, even if you quietly figured I was just losing my mind (trust me, I don't blame you!).

I just wanted to say Thank You again... and again... and again...

Life's Lessons

Life's Lessons... that I have learned...

1. I am not a big fan of the holidays... ba humbug.

2. I am a morning person, either like it or leave me the hell alone.

3. Do not interrupt me during the last 10 minutes of my tv show.

4. Why is it that the only time anyone wants to talk to me is when I am either on the phone, trying to sleep, or watching the end of a good show?

5. No, no cats NEED to eat breakfast at 4:30 in the morning. You can wait until I get up at 5am... or eat the dry food...

6.Why is it that the garbage can sit outside the backdoor and 3 people walk past it, but no one can grab the little yellow handles and take it to the garage (which you also walk past)???

7. As long as I can pull my hair back into a clip, it does not have to be washed every day.

8. If I don't have to go anywhere, my pajamas are good enough to stay in, even if we do have company!

9. I love my son - I wouldn't trade him for the world... but I would consider loaning him out for a while...

10. Why do I have to repeat myself several times? It is selective hearing or do you truly need a hearing aide??

11. I don't decorate for the holiday. My son and his grandma do that. I am so not into them anymore!

12. Working retail has totally killed the holiday spirit for me! I can live without them... 

13. I do love my family (with the exception of some days) and enjoy the time we spend together... and sometimes that is more than enough time!

14. When I get home at night, please let me get my shoes and coat off before hitting me with everything.

15. Can I please use the bathroom in peace? I really don't need to share that time with 3 cats and a child talking through the door.

16. Why is it that the bathroom can be empty for hours, UNTIL I decide to soak in a hot bubble bath?

17. Give me a pack of Oreos and a glass of milk... and leave me alone!

18. Cheese filled pretzel bites... I can make a full three-course meal of those.

19. Going outside in my pajamas is not unusual. If you don't like it - don't look!

20. I have no room in my king size bed for anyone but me... my eight pillows... 6 teddy bears... and 3 real-life cats with claws... so go sleep on the couch.
