Times like this...

I'm stressed, I have been munching, I've had an anxiety attack and I could really use a hot bath, but my son is in the tub.

I could really use a 2nd bathroom right about now.

Today was my final exam in class, my computer went wonky and I'm anxious.

This sucks!

No contact...

My son had a down day last week. He hadn't talked to or texted any of hid friends for almost 2 days.

I had to explain that he shouldn't take it personal.

I would give just about anything for even a day without contact. I like my "me time" and don't mind the quiet.

At first he couldn't seem to understand that, but I think once he thought about it, he got it.

Its amazing how our feelings change over time.

Today... a day off... so strange

Okay... today is a day off. No work. No school. No homework. Really no nothing. Also no idea how to handle it. Been to the gym. Nothing on TV. Too early for dinner. Don't know how to sit still. Should be doing something. Right? Wow... can't even relax when I can relax.

Time for Lunch... and me

I admit it... I have a nasty habit of not knowing how to look out for me.

During the week, during lunch, I might run out to grab something to eat, and then I bring it back and eat at my desk, why typing, answering the phones, and answering questions.

I feel overwhelmed and I don't want to get further behind.

But today was different... I left work and went to the hamburger joint for a burger and fries. I actually went inside, sat down, watched the tv, and ate my lunch. I did constantly look at my watch, but that was it. No phone, no work, no one to talk to... it was a strange experience...

I am so used to multi-tasking that doing only one thing... and doing it for me... seems incredibly unsettling.

It felt good though. (I don't think I could do it all the time, but I could try for more often than once every few months.)

Cats know when you need to relax

I have had a rough day. I've been stressed. I've been watching my phone, watching foe a message. I don't know how to sit still or relax.

Except tonight. I laid down on the bed, TV on, phone in hand. Enter my cat... stage right. He crawls up under my arm and lays across my chest, tucked into my neck, under my chin. Kinda like a 36" nose to tail furry mink still, that purrs. I sure can't see the TV through him... nor can I operate my phone with him laying here. So I am at his mercy. He the tilts his head upward, against my face, staring at me upside down, and purring. Awwwww.

Okay, guess I will relax... but only for a little bit.

blogging

Have you ever had the best of intentions to sit down and blog? I have had the desire and the thoughts, but after being in front of the computer all day... I just don't have the energy... or brain power. I really just want to lay down and veg out!
