Asking About A New Dad

I have been divorced for almost 8 years and my son has been without his dad for at least 6 of them.  It seems like lately, he asks about his dad. I am not going to lie to him because that is not fair.  But then he throws me for a curve when he asks if I am going to date someone so that he might have a new dad someday.
